Welcome to Nannycakes first blog

Nannycakes Design was conceived with the birth of my first grandson. After spending weeks hand stenciling his room, I was unable to find bedding that was special enough for this very special baby, so I did some research. I found wonderful fabrics and bedding in California and New York, but with no distributors here in Canada. I thought there was a definite need for this kind of bedding. So I went to work and a year later had a Christmas launch at Joelle’s in Burlington. That was six years ago. I have been encouraged along the way by many wonderful customers, I love working with new moms to create a space for their new little one to play, sleep and dream.

I am now doing “Big Girls and Big Boy” rooms, as my babies are growing up. Moses baskets were new for spring and have been a great success. They are traveling beds that keep baby warm and safe anywhere. I have just installed a nursery that is going to be featured in Canadian Living Magazine. It was a very exciting project for me. There are so many wonderful nurseries and designs for babies of the stars. We have many bright stars here, and now their bedding reflects it.
